The products listed below are made with hand spun Tibetan sheep wool. These sheep are reared in the high altitude Tibetan plateau, from where the raw wool makes its way to the trade post on the India and Nepal border in Dharchula. At Avani, we buy the raw Tibetan sheep wool that is cleaned, sorted, washed, spun, dyed and hand woven in the villages. It is, therefore, a material very close to our hearts, as it generates employment at many stages of its processing.
